I was at an exhibit and my deceased mom and other family members where there. My husband was at home and not with us. There were all of these balls on the ground that we were wading through. I saw large snake skins in a corner and freaked out because I was afraid there were snakes in the balls. The docent said don’t worry the snakes are dead. But then she showed me where the snakes were in a part of the exhibit without balls and only one was dead but the live and unalive snake were intertwined.
Dreams involving deceased loved ones, such as your mother, often carry deep emotional significance and can reflect your thoughts and feelings about loss, connection, and family. In your dream, the presence of your mom and other family members at an exhibit suggests a reunion or a desire to reconnect with family, particularly those who have passed on. Exhibits often symbolize exploration or learning, indicating that you might be processing past experiences or memories related to your family.
The balls on the ground may represent various aspects of your life that you are navigating or wading through—these could be emotions, responsibilities, or even unresolved issues. The act of wading through them implies that you are dealing with these challenges actively, but it may also signify feelings of being overwhelmed.
The snake skins symbolize a shedding of old layers or transformation. Snakes are often associated with fear or anxiety, but they can also symbolize renewal or healing. Your fear of finding snakes among the balls suggests lingering anxiety about the unknown or unresolved matters in your life. The docent's reassurance that the snakes are dead might indicate a sense of relief regarding past fears or issues that you feel are no longer a threat. However, the imagery of live and dead snakes intertwined suggests that there are still unresolved feelings or complications that you may need to address.
Overall, this dream seems to reflect your journey through emotional complexity, the importance of family bonds, and the need to confront and integrate aspects of your past. It may be beneficial to reflect on what you feel has "shed" in your life and what still feels alive and connected, as this understanding could lead to personal growth and healing.
